French town 'bans clowns' after dozens of creepy attacks
A SMALL TOWN in France has banned its residents from dressing as clowns after a spate of attacks from “evil” clowns in the country.
Over the past few weeks, several parts of France have been terrorised by these clowns, many of whom have been armed with guns and knives. Lovely people.
Sky News reports that the small town of Vendargues in Southern France imposed the ban after an attack in the nearby town of Montpellier, in which a teenager dressed as a clown hit a passer-by 30 times with an iron bar.
A city spokesperson said the mayor made the decision to ward off any “disruptions” in their area:
A dozen teenagers have been arrested in connection with the attacks – and police are receiving increased reports of clowns lying in wait in public places.
We’re hoping this frankly awful behaviour doesn’t spread across the sea. Please, for the good of everyone’s health.
